New package: weightr (v. 1.0.0)

[social4i size=”large” align=”float-right”]   This is a re-post of Dr. Jack Vevea email to the R packages mailing list Greetings, R users! I’m excited and pleased to announce that the weightr package was released to CRAN today: Our package provides a function for meta-analysts to implement the Vevea and Hedges (1995) weight-function model for publication bias in R and, by specifying an additional argument, to implement the modified Vevea and Woods (2005) version as well. We were inspired by Wolfgang Viechtbauer’s fantastic metafor package, and have formatted our output similarly. The package also includes a function to launch the Shiny app that implements both of these models locally. For anyone interested who wants to preview the Shiny app without installing the package, it’s available online here: Thanks for your time, and I hope the package is useful to you! If you encounter any problems or have feedback, please feel free to contact me at [email protected].
