Shortly after I prepared the bug-fix / maintenance release of
RcppEigen, the code
based was updated to the recent Eigen
release 3.2.1 by Doug Bates. I
wrapped this up in release of

The next day, Brian Ripley
noticed a build failure on Solaris; and followed up with a better
ifdef test for one problematic line which now also addresses
the equally irrelevant Unix variants of HP, SGI, and AIX (IBM). May it help
someone … In any event, this constituted release
