R is a free available programming language for statistical analysis, computing and producing data visualizations. To use R as part of this course you’ll need to install ‘base R’ and R studio.

Base R is free and can be installed on Windows, Mac or Linux by following the respective ‘Download and Install’ links at https://cran.r-project.org/

R studio, from Posit, is an ‘IDE’ or ‘Integrated Development Environment’ which provides a suite of useful tools for making it easier to work with data using R. R Studio Desktop is also available for free and can be installed on Windows, Mac or Linux: https://posit.co/download/rstudio-desktop/
