rstudio::global is Just Around the Corner
Only a few days remain until the 2021 rstudio::global conference on January 21st, and we have some good news. In collaboration with RStudio, Appsilon will be hosting an in-depth Shiny Masterclass on January 20th @ 9AM EST. Space is limited, but you can still register for the session by choosing the “Mastering Shiny with Appsilon” X-Session during registration.
Don’t let the word “Masterclass” scare you off – there’s something at the session for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete beginner or a Shiny ninja, you will learn something valuable from the workshop.
Shiny Masterclass Details
On January 20th, 2021 @ 9 AM EST, Appsilon will be hosting a Shiny Masterclass with RStudio at the rstudio::global conference. It’s an entirely free event covering a lot of topics in Shiny – from a beginner to an advanced level. You can attend the masterclass entirely for free by registering for the rstudio::global conference and selecting the “Mastering Shiny with Appsilon” X-Session after the registration.
The live workshop’s official title is “R Shiny Masterclass by Appsilon: From Beginner to Expert.” You can join the session regardless of your previous Shiny experience. There’s something for you to learn even if you are a complete beginner, and Shiny wizards are sure to learn new tricks and techniques. The live workshop will cover the following topics:
- Best practices for developing durable Shiny apps
- Theming Shiny & R Markdown
- Styling Shiny with CSS and SASS
- Speeding up Shiny apps with
updateInputand JavaScript - Guide to Shiny Open Source Packages
- Scaling Shiny to hundreds (or thousands) of users
- Shiny Innovations:
shiny.react,shiny.fluent, and beyond
You will also learn some interesting things about bslib (R package which provides tools for creating custom Bootstrap themes), and thematic (R package which makes theming of R graphics simple). In the final segment, Appsilon will unveil some recent Shiny innovations that came out of our work with Fortune 500 clients, so be sure to stay until the end.
