Edward Tufte will be kicking off PLOTCON NYC this year with his keynote talk. Edward is a Professor Emeritus of Political Science, Statistics, and Computer Science at Yale University. He wrote, designed, and self-published 4 classic books on data visualization including, “The Visual Display of Quantitative Information.” The New York Times described ET as the “Leonardo da Vinci of data. ?

Chris Parmer, creator of Dash, will be giving a 2 day master’s class for Dash users. Called the “Shiny for Python“, Dash allows scientists, engineers, analysts, and financiers to build rich, complex web apps with just a few lines of Python.
