Harvard — R/C++ programmer to develop climate-related R software/package

Looking for someone with strong programming experience in R/C++ to develop R software to
1) Access, manipulate, and visualize climate data.
2) Implement large-scale spatial and spatio-temporal models
Ideal candidate will be able to turn high-level (non-technical) directions and instructions into functioning R code, and eventually an R package.  Work will be a blend of software development and statistical research.  The position is flexible, and could be between 10-40 hours/week.    Pay is competitive, and the position will remain open until filled.

Required Skills:
-R programming experience
-Knowledge of statistical methods
-Reliable and self-motivated

Preferred skills:
-C++ programming experience
-Experience creating R packages
-Software development experience
-Interest in climate change and earth science

Job Title: Quantitative Analyst – Associate – London

You will focus on Quantitative Strategy in a client-facing role, with clients that will be both internal (primarily drawn from the equity and portfolio sales and trading teams) and external (mostly institutional and hedge fund accounts). Ideally you will immediately slot into our new and growing European equity and cross-asset quantitative strategy team and work on projects including but not limited to alpha generation through stock selection, factor modeling, portfolio construction, risk modeling and analysis.
Your day to day responsibilities will include ensuring the quality of the underlying quantitative equity data and developing, generating and streamlining regular reports, managing client request flow and looking to develop new regular reports on European quantitative equity products.
