A new version of DeployR, the server-based framework that provides simple and secure R integration for application developers, is now available. (If you're new to DeployR, take a look at the DeployR Overview or download the white paper, Using DeployR to Solve the R Integration Problem.) This update brings several new features, including:
- New R Session Process Controls, which introduce fine-grain file system access controls for R sessions on Linux platforms.
- A new DeployR Command Line Tool (CLI) with support for running DeployR-enabled example applications.
- Updated Web service API support (with changes detailed in the API Reference Guide change history).
- Updated user account password security with automatic bcrypt hashing, which is resistant to rainbow table and brute-force search attacks.
DeployR comes in two editions: DeployR Open is available free on for Linux, Windows and MacOS X. Revolution R Enterprise DeployR adds production-grade features like enterprise authentication and grid scaling, with a paid subscription from Revolution Analytics.
