Three editions of Why R? conferences were a great networking success. During each edition, we gathered around 250-300 R enthusiasts from Europe and we managed to carry out more than 100 presentations and 35 workshops over 3 years. Desire for a bigger event led us to the 4th edition!

Because of the global pandemic, we decided to transform Why R? 2020 into the online event. Also due to the COVID 2019 outbreak, we rescheduled Why R? 2020 from 2020-08-27/30 to 2020-09-24/27. We hope to meet you virtually!.

As the meeting is held in English we invite R users from all over the globe!

We will stream the conference on youtube.com/WhyRFoundation.

Important dates

On a regular basis, when we host an onsite event we allow workshop tutors to join the conference for free. Also speakers get a free pass for the day of their presentation and a lot of discounts for other events. Students get their special prices as well!

This year, because of the remote setup, the entrance for the conference is free!

If you would like to submit a talk or a workshop then check out the below timeline.

The abstract submissions are format free, but limited to 400 words. Remember to state clearly a type of your submission (workshop/lightning talk/oral presentation).
