RROlogoWe've just made the latest update to Revolution R Open, the enhanced distribution of open-source R, available for download from MRAN. The main feature of this release is an upgrade to the R 3.1.2 engine, and support for MacOS Yosemite. (You can read about all the changes in the NEWS file.)

To support reproducibility, Revolution R Open works with a static CRAN snapshot, and for version 8.0.1 that snapshot was taken on December 1, 2014. You can read about some of the new packages and updates to existing packages since the last release of RRO in our new package spotlight page.

Revolution R Open is compatible with all packages, scripts and applications (including RStudio) that work with R 3.1.2, with improved performance (without the need to change any code!). It's available for free download now for Windows, Mac and Linux systems. And if you'd like technical support for Revolution R Open, take a look at Revolution R Plus.
