Having back pain is very common, in fact it is said that up to 80% of adults will experience some type of back pain in their lifetime. Before you get all worried over nothing, try these tips out. Hopefully, you can get rid of your back pain on your own. Be sure that you do not wear a heavy backpack and watch how you have it positioned on your back. Having too much in your backpack can cause strain in your back, which can cause pain. Also, if you have it too high or too low, you risk straining your back. Use safe lifting practices. If you lift by bending your knees, you transfer the stress of the lift from your spine to the muscles of your legs. This can reduce the incidence of spasms and reduce the pain that goes along with repetitive lifting motions. If you feel a strain in your back while lifting, you are probably doing it wrong. Use ice to help alleviate back pain, as it can reduce swelling and inflammation from injuries that cause back pain.
