Summary
An R package focused on an organization’s particular needs (with a small or large team) can open up many possibilities, including easier data access, shared functions for data transformation analysis, reporting and standardization of tasks.
This workshop will demonstrate worked examples to then jump to build an organizational R package from scratch.
The workshop shall cover:
- SQL Databases: DuckDB and PostgreSQL.
- Package functions: Creating R packages to manage SQL connections and to obtain KPIs.
- Reporting: Using functions to use organizational colour templates and graphic norms.
Time, day and format
June 18th (2022-06-18), from 09.00 to 12.00 (Toronto time), with breaks.

About me
I am a statistician and R developer. I have 8 years of experience building internal R packages and dashboards for retailers, fisheries, banks, governmental offices and international organizations. On the training side, I completed the Tidyverse and Shiny certifications by RStudio and also The Carpentries instructor training.
