XLConnect is a well established R package that enables an easy interface to Microsoft Excel.

At Mirai, we have R specialists working in the financial services industry, where it is practically impossible to avoid MS Excel. Indeed, in many organizations it’s probably still the most used tool to share and report data analytics.

Since 2011, Mirai is developing and maintaining XLConnect, a comprehensive and cross-platform R package for manipulating MS Excel files from within R. As a matter of fact, we’ve just released version 1.0.2, which introduces support for current Java versions (up to Java 15) and fixes an issue with protected workbooks.

Simplify your data science and reporting work by moving repetitive or exploratory data manipulation steps out of Excel. XLConnect will help you to automate your reports that you may still prefer to share in Excel format with your stakeholders.
