Anyone who collects academic texts knows that the hobby can be a bit expensive.  Well, today I happened to notice that there is an incredible deal on Amazon’s Gold Box Deal for today for many kindle academic books.  And they are not just unpopular titles, either.  There are over 2000+ titles to choose from at up to 80% off– targeted to students.  I have temporarily added some titles that relate to many readers (any of the texts listed prior to the R for Business Analytics entry, including many other R based texts) on my amazon reading list to the right . I would appreciate if you would enter amazon by just clicking on any of the books and if you happen to find any of the titles interesting, please make sure to double check that it is the kindle edition and the price is discounted. As an example, “Numerical Methods and Optimization in Finance,” Manfred Gilli et. al (an excellent R/Matlab financial optimization text btw) is listed on my reading list as $90.81, but when you click on the book, then click on the kindle edition, you’ll find it listed for 23.99 or 76% off.
Happy reading!
