New year, new resolutions.

This year, as a personal challenge, I decided to create a blog where I could share (and also receive) some tricks and tips about R programming language. The main motivation behind this blog is to learn how to use Knitr (http://yihui.name/knitr/). While I'm very concerned about the importance of reproducible researches (see why here: http://videolectures.net/cancerbioinformatics2010_baggerly_irrh/), this blog is a good opportunity to make it in practice. My goal is to try to post at least once a week. I do not have the pretention to be an exceptional R developper, but I think this blog will help me to get better.

My R whish list for 2013.

  1. learn knitr (obviously)
  2. learn ggplot2
  3. get better with the apply family functions
  4. introduce myself to numerical analysis under R (I always used Matlab)

I will take special care to the syntax of this blog. However, since English is not my primary language, feel free to report any errors found in this site. Additionally, I would like to ear from you. If you have any topic that you would like me to post on, do not hesitate to make a comment. I hope you have as much fun reading this blog as I have writing it!

Happy 2013 to everyone!
