CARE International is a humanitarian organization that is leading the charge to fight poverty around the world, with a focus on empowering women and girls. On March 28 in Atlanta, CARE is teaming up with Booz Allen Hamilton, Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health and Revolution Analytics to bring data scientists together to use R to explore some of CARE's data troves and — hopefully! — make discoveries that will further CARE's mission.

If you have data analysts skills and want to help out, register for the Atlanta Big Data Analytics Team Challenge by March 20 to be assigned to a team. Participants will have access to a cloud-based instance of Revolution R Enterprise, so there will be plenty of horsepower to tackle the data provided by CARE. Each team will be judged on their solution, design, and innovative approach. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place teams, and participants will have the option to donate prizes to CARE or to the philanthropic organization of their choice.

1st place team: $4,000
2nd place team: $2,000
3rd place team: $1,000

The deadline for registration is March 20, so if you think you can help sign up now for the Atlanta Big Data Analytics Team Challenge at events.signup4.com/AtlantaBigData.
