I have uploaded a draft of Chapter 1 — A Very Brief Introduction to R — to Introduction to Fisheries Science with R book.  This chapter is very bare bones as there are many great introductions to R on the web and in other books.  Thus, I focused on utility to fisheries analyses and forming a foundation for later chapters.

I have also uploaded a new Chapter 2 — Basic Data Manipulations — that include modifications due to changes in dplyr, the introduction of the %<>% operator in magrittr, and some really great and useful comments from several of you (thanks especially to Ben N.).

Drafts of these and several other chapters are available on the IFSWR Vignettes page on the fishR site.  As always, you should update to the very latest version of FSA.

Please feel free to send me comments, suggestions, criticisms, etc.  All of these help me make the book and the FSA package as useful as possible.
